Peter Okeafor was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  He has lived in the Midwest his entire life except for a three-year stint in New Orleans in the late 1980s.  Peter received a B.A. and M.S. in sociology from Purdue University.  He currently resides in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He is a content creator who records his own podcasts and video shows on Youtube, writes and performs music, and is a science fiction/fantasy author.

His YouTube channel focuses on personal branding, how musicians use personal branding, music history, and music appreciation.

Peter has a life-long love affair with science fiction, fantasy, and comic books.  His love of creating fictional characters was inspired by Stan Lee and George Lucas.

Peter has been known to go rogue when it comes to science fiction, fantasy, and comic books.

He believes that the Star Wars prequels add value to the franchise and that the removal of the films would diminish the franchise.  For the record, he believes that The Phantom Menace and Return of the Jedi are the worst movies in the franchise.  In Peter's humble opinion, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Revenge of the Sith are the best movies in the franchise.

Peter also prefers the second and third Matrix movies to the first.  The highway fight scene in Matrix Reloaded and the battle on the loading dock in Matrix Revolutions were incredible scenes.  Some believe that the philosophical message became convoluted in the last two movies.  Peter wants kick-ass action in his movies.  If you want philosophy, read a book.

In his younger days, Peter made fun of the Star Trek series for its cheesy special effects.  It took a while, but he did realize the error of his ways.  When it comes to Star Trek, Peter must again go rogue and state that the worst show in the franchise is The Next Generation. However, all of the shows and movies, including TNG, are well done.

Finally, for many years Peter was a Marvel and Batman fan.  Peter, however, was always a strong supporter of both Marvel and DC products.  A few years ago, he was compelled to buy his first Flash t-shirt because of the CW show.  Peter also absolutely loved Suicide Squad movies and believes that the movie critics can stick it where the sun don’t shine.

Peter also appreciates all fiction, especially African-American fiction, thrillers, crime-focused fiction, and some of the classics.

Peter makes music under the name Xodus.  His music is eclectic featuring R&B, rap, a touch of jazz, and aspects of good old rock and roll.

His influences are many including Motown, 60s rock (think The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and The Doors), Classic Rock (especially Aerosmith and Kiss) and rap music.  Some other musical influences are Prince, George Clinton and P-Funk, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Janis Joplin, Pink Floyd, Lady Ga Ga, Johnny Cash, Fela Kuti, Miles Davis, and John Coltrane.  Peter is a life-long lover of music and this short list only scratches the surface of his influences.

Peter loves music, movies, TV shows, college football, the Chicago White Sox, and the Chicago Blackhawks.

Peter is the author of What Burns Below, Salvation Road: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, and Journey Through the Earths.

He has released four albums of music under the name Xodus; Book One, The 317 Vol. 1, Cyberfunk:2020, and Eve’s Call.
